We provide our services on behalf of our donors to all residents in the 14580 ZIP Code area. This includes not only Webster but the northern third of Penfield as well. Any resident who is in need can contact us.
In 2021 the Webster Community Chest assisted hundreds of families in the 14580 zip code. For most of these, this meant providing advice, guidance, and assistance in getting the help they needed from various agencies in the county. When people do not know where to turn, we can find the resources they require.
In many cases, there is no where else to go or the help cannot be gotten in time. When this is so, the Chest steps in with its own direct financial aid.
Twenty-three families received assistance in 2021.
The Chest has several other programs which aid low-income families.

We are committed to helping organizations that strengthen our community by providing activities, and services for residents. We like to extend our resources to organizations for projects that may need extra funds. Organizations can write to Webster Community Chest at 1000 Ridge Rd. Webster NY 14580 to request funds. The President may then call the contact person and ask that they attend the next meeting to explain their project.
We provide summer camp scholarships to children in Webster families that qualify. These scholarships are available for a week of camp at the Bay View YMCA or a week of Fun Camp at Webster Parks & Recreation Center. Check back for more information.
Shirley Miller was the Community Chest benefits counselor for almost three decades. During those years, Shirley became the most visible part of the Community Chest working with those who most needed assistance. Each year the Webster Community Chest awards scholarships in Shirley’s memory to Webster high school seniors who have performed significant community service.
