The Webster Community Chest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been providing services and programs for Webster (14580) residents since 1948. Prior to 1948, we were a "War Chest" and were one of many that existed throughout Monroe County during World War II. Later, most converted to Community Chests, as Webster did in 1948. All others have since closed, leaving the Webster Community Chest the only one left. Through the Chest, Webster's citizens are able to receive services that no other town enjoys.
We exist to improve, develop, and care for the health, welfare, and general well being of residents of the greater 14580 Webster community. Our tagline is "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" and that's exactly who we are and what we do.
Lila was a stay-at-home mom of three when her husband left, taking her car and leaving her without support. Struggling to cover rent and essentials, she found a job with an understanding employer who provided a car. However, she still couldn’t catch up on rent. Thanks to the Chest, a month’s rent was paid, saving her family’s home. Now, Lila is back on her feet and able to cover her expenses. She is deeply grateful.
Gene, homebound, was out of food with a week left before our next end-of-month delivery. When he called, a volunteer brought groceries the same day. He qualified for Meals on Wheels, so we subsidized his start right away, bypassing the long waitlist for meals and wellness checks. This is only possible in Webster, thanks to your donations.
Sophie’s mental health struggles disrupted her family, but therapeutic horseback riding at Heritage Christian Stables made a difference. This therapy improved her posture, balance, sensory regulation, and self-confidence. Her parents saw a dramatic change—Sophie became happier, calmer, and more regulated, in ways medical treatments couldn’t achieve.
We use our Aid to Organizations budget to provide aid and special services to the community through other local organizations.

Donating can take on many forms. Most people think of donations as monetary. However, donating your talents is a great way to help those in need. Helping us at our new "Meals Center" gives you first-hand experience in feeding the hungry in Webster. We have several fund-raising events throughout the year with which we always need help or consider becoming a Board Member or volunteer to work on special projects!
